In den Präexposalen Modifikationen wird im aufgenommenen Bild der konstruierte Bildaufbau absichtlich mit dem Faktor der zufälligen Veränderung kombiniert und konfrontiert. Farbe, Form und Ort des Zusammentreffens der beiden Gestaltungselemente lassen sich beim Fotografieren kaum vorhersagen. So wird der Zufall ein Teil des Gestaltungsprozesses.

Die Doppel-CD "Null II & Null III" von Luigi Archetti knüpft konzeptionell und in ihrer musikalischen Konsequenz an die erste CD mit dem Titel "Null", die im Jahr 2010 auf dem gleichen Label "Die Schachtel" erschienen ist.

Es ist eine Musik am Rande des klanglichen Stillstands, eine musikalische Untersuchung über das Innere des Klanges.

Christian Jelk, chairman of Visarte.Vaud, has chosen Galerie d’(A) to present his new research on engraving, in this first exhibition of his work. An architect by training, drawing has become the new territory of his thoughts while engraving reveals its meaning by bringing the matrix to light.

Drawing requires a lot of discipline and precision. Engraving came about as a way of bringing more spontaneity and freedom to his work. It naturally sprang out of drawing in a joint search for light. Drawing is like a scar and engraving its imprint.

Clifton Benevento is pleased to present "A Place In The Sun", the New York solo-debut of Toronto based artist, Hugh Scott-Douglas.

Drawing its title from the 1951 George Stevens’ film of the same name, A Place In The Sun, presents a new body of cyanotypes on linen.

Within cinematic history, Stevens’ film is regarded as a prime example of analog editing and is particularly well known for its long dissolves between scenes.

Horton Gallery, Chelsea is pleased to announce White Shadow, the first New York solo exhibition by Berlin based artist Natasza Niedziolka.

Natasza Niedziolka's abstract fabric and thread works intuitively integrate enigmatic shapes and evocative colors. Following in the tradition of Dada artists such as Jean Arp, Niedziolka's fabric panels embrace the irrational. While the artist’s use of quilting and sewing connect her work with historical, democratized expressive acts, Niedziolka decidedly rejects traditional craft-art guidelines such as functionality and pictorial coherence.

An activity book accompanies the exhibition, and there are workshops for children on a regular basis.
