Mark Wallinger – winner of the 2007 Turner Prize – shows his most important works of recent years in this large-scale survey exhibition. Wallinger is one of Britain's most famous artists internationally, not least since his splendid contribution at the 2001 Venice Biennale. Wallinger intelligently, and somewhat humorously, explores current social issues in his works. Using various media such as painting, video or installation, he focuses on matters that are of relevance to us all – religion, politics and cultural identity.

Still Life - Stories of Silent Things

The special exhibition "Still Life - Stories of Silent Things" brings together works from the collection of the Aargauer Kunsthaus, revolving around the painting genre of the still life. The exhibition's time-frame extends from the early 20th century with Cuno Amiet to the present day with artists such as Fischli/Weiss.

CARAVAN 1/2008 - Series of exhibitions of young art: Linda Herzog

CARVAN will provide a new platform at the Aargauer Kunsthaus for young artists from Switzerland. The prelude-exhibition to this series is of works Linda Herzog, whose photographs hover in their approach between the documentary-reportage and free artistic expression.
