The Laleh June Galerie Basel is proud to announce its upcoming exhibition "Flowers", the first duo exhibition by Crystel Ceresa and Thierry Feuz. "Flowers" demonstrates how Ceresa's and Feuz's paintings reside at the intersection of art history and the imagination. Their works remain very much their own with their combinations of figurative and abstract elements. Flowers shows how they distinguish themselves within an age-old tradition of flower painting.

Thierry Feuz, received a MA in Art at the Geneva University of Art and Design ( HEAD ) and Universität der Künste, Berlin. His work has been exhibited internationally and included in international private, corporate and public collections. His recent group and solo exhibitions among others include "Wall Table Chair" (2009) at Lange & Pult Gallery in Zurich, "Donation Jeunet" (2009) at Musée d'Art et d'Histoire in Neuchâtel, "Botanical Transforms" (2008) at Vejle Kunstmuseum in Vejle, "Thierry Feuz" (2008) at Galerie Une in Neachâtel, and "Thierry Feuz - Supernatural" (2006-2007) at National Academy of Science in Washington, D.C. Feuz was born in 1968 in Vienna, moved to Switzerland in 1990s, he now lives and works in Geneva and Vienna. Thierry Feuz paintings in their microworlds and macrovisions of the nature, a mix of landscapes, are close-ups, "you have entered, a landscape and the details of a strange, humid, wet, and dangerous life, have become visible." Thierry Feuz adds.

Crystel Ceresa, received a BA in Art at the Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD). Ceresa was born in Geneva, where she now lives and works. Crystel Ceresa paintings make references to senses, as well as dream-like visions. Her other group and solo exhibitions include "Words Are Diamonds" (2009), "Drops of Poison" (2008) at Laleh June Galerie in Basel, and "Open House" (2006) at Musée Rath in Geneva.
