The gallery is proud to present Bigert & Bergström's upcoming exhibition "Temporary Truth". Having collaborated since 1986 the artist duo continuously seek to create artificial worlds drawing inspiration from a wide array of disciplines. The work is developed through actively seeking dialogues with the external world, beyond the realm of the art world, consequently creating works of art through scientific research without rational purpose.

The exhibition "Temporary Truth" deals with predictions and prognosis using the elusive nature of the weather as a vantage point. It challenges the viewers' participation and habitual perspective upon time as well as finds ties to current environmental debates. Within the exhibition a new work "Tomorrow's Weather", Stockholm consists of atmospheric molecules hung from the ceiling receiving data from SMHI (Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute). Receiving hourly updates, the work alters its appearance by shifting movements and colors when describing its prognosis. A single central orb moves up and down and shifts color from blue (cold) to red (hot) to indicate temperature whilst the surrounding orbs shift colors determined by the artists to represent different weather scenarios. The work radiates light creating an elaborate pattern of illumination through which a premonition of tomorrow's weather takes shape.

Throughout time human beings have created many shrines and deities to whom offerings or even sacrifices were deemed necessary for survival. One concludes that culture and society has been formulated around the control of weather. Life predicts weather and weather predicts life, and in essence once this elaborate work is installed this exhibition is entirely dependent on the conditions, a multitude of possibilities that occur outside of the gallery walls.
