Moulton and Stein are paired, twins enacting each scene as a duo or duet. The 'Retention' in the exhibition title is an oblique reference to water retention during the menstrual cycle, a cycle which in their video becomes the recurring sea, from which both women are strangely beholden, alternatively embracing it and distancing themselves from it. Nakis Panayotidis was born in 1947 in Athens. After having studied architecture and the fine arts in Turin and Rome, he settled in Switzerland in 1973. In 1994, the first large Nakis Panayotidis exhibition to take place in a museum was mounted at the Kunstmuseum Bern. Twenty years later, after many further international solo exhibitions of his work, the Kunstmuseum Bern is devoting a comprehensive retrospective to this multifaceted artist and leading representative of Arte Povera. Unter dem Titel "Play" wird eine neue Serie von Zeichnungen des Schweizer Künstlers Karim Noureldin bei von Bartha zu sehen sein. Der Titel ist dabei auf zwei Ebenen zu erschließen. Zunächst als direkte Übersetzung "das Spiel". Einem Spiel liegen bestimmte Regeln, Anordnungen und Handlungsabläufe zu Grunde, doch ist der Aspekt des Zufalls, des spielerischen Findens, der Leichtigkeit und Freude immer inhärent.
