Das Kunstmuseum Solothurn widmet Silvie Defraoui (*1935), Pionierin der Video-Kunst und langjährige Professorin der Ecole supérieure d'art visuel ESAV in Genf, eine umfangreiche Einzelausstellung. Zusammen mit ihrem Mann Chérif Defraoui (1932-1994) arbeitete sie ab 1975 an den "Archives du futur". Nach einer Ausstellung im Centre Culturel Suisse in Paris (2009) bietet die über sieben Säle angelegte Präsentation des Kunstmuseums Solothurn nun die Möglichkeit, die neuesten Werke im Kontext früherer Arbeiten kennen zu lernen. The Kunstmuseum Bern is showing over 140 works of Swiss art dating from the 18th century up to modern times. They belong to the vast collection of the Foundation for Art, Culture and History, which was established in 1980 by the Winterthur patron of the arts Bruno Stefanini. Among other paintings, the exhibition is showcasing works by Cuno Amiet, Albert Anker, Arnold Böcklin, Alexandre Calame, Henry Fuseli, Giovanni and Augusto Giacometti, Ferdinand Hodler, Giovanni Segantini and Félix Vallotton.
